Hello all! Hope everyone has been doing fabulously!
I have officially asked all of my Maids of Honor and Bridesmaids to be part of our very special day, except for one. My fiance’s niece who will be one of our bridesmaids has been in New York so we haven’t had a chance to meet up with her, but she just recently got back to California so I’m sure it will be soon. And yes, you read right, I will be having Maids of Honor (plural). I am having three Maids of Honor and five Bridesmaids. In the next post, I will do a (mini) bridal party introduction.
I think most of my Maids of Honor and Bridesmaids already knew they were going to be involved in the wedding, but I wanted to create something super cute to officially ask them.
After intensive Pinterest research (my favorite kind), I came up with a pretty cute way to ask my important ladies in my life to be part of my important day.
I bought white boxes from Michael’s Craft Store and inside I wanted to place small gifts as well as the wedding colors.
I got each one some pampering items: a Sally Hansen nail polish, a very cute Revlon manicure set, and a que bella face mask all from Target. I also included the wedding colors by hole punching card-stock paper from Michael’s with a scallop-like shape puncher.
Then I attached all four wedding colors with a white, sheer ribbon. And for my 21+ ladies, I got them a small bottle of pink champagne.
Before neatly placing the items inside, I made sure to line up the bottom of the box with white confetti paper to give it that gift-like feel. Then also, with the same color card-stock papers that I got from Michael’s, I made two sets of rectangular signs. The first one, read “Will you be my …” and the second set either said “Bridesmaid” or “Maid of Honor”. The “Bridesmaid” and the “Maid of Honor” signs, I placed on the inside of the box lid. That way, they would have to open the box to find out what they would be.
Then on the outside of the box on one of the sides looking forward, I placed the “Will you be my …”. I had to hot-glue these on because tape and regular glue sticks didn’t do the trick, they kept on falling off.
Then after everything was all set inside, I wrapped a sheer navy ribbon on the outside and attached a coral tag to the ribbon with each lady’s name on it.
If I do say so myself, they definitely looked super cute!
All the ladies loved their little box and of course all of them said YES!
